Homer & Cristina both started their tango obsession in 1997 but they did not meet until 2001.  They immediately fell in love and were married 8 months later.  It has been said, on more than one occasion, that few dancing couples improvise with such skill, personality, and fluidity of movement.  Each brings with them many years of social dance experience emphasizing a fusion of tango ideologies, via the 'one tango' philosophy.  As teachers they are committed to creating a positive class environment and try to reduce barriers that may inhibit students from really finding their own dance!  Small epiphanies can & do occur in their students all the time...  With the help of local community members, they have established an online repository of many of their classes via http://tangostudent.blogspot.com/

Homer is also a founding member of the non-profit Project Tango organization through which he initiated the weekly CELLspace alternative milonga and the San Francisco Tango Exchange.  His newest obsession, since 2005, has been learning and promoting live tango music for dancers.  For five years he studied the double bass and now he’s attempting to learn and play the bandoneon.  He also hopes to complete a semi-autobiographical contemporary tango book with useful information in the next few years.  Cristina is currently recovering from a life altering kidney disease and, beyond her regular ‘tango functions’, is a student of Yoga and Pilates and spends her off-time reading.   As each year passes Homer & Cristina continue to explore deeper facets of their relationship to each other and to tango.
